	Welcome to the 2007 Lake Erie Racing Team web site. This is our 2nd season with a new name and uniforms. Our Nitro Harley is still in good shape from last year and ready for competition.

We are saddened by the recent loss of our good friend and long term sponsor, Frank Andrus. Frank was battling cancer with hopes of beating the odds and overcoming the illness. Frank was the sole proprietor of Clone Cycle (formerly Clone Machine and Cycle). He had a talent for fabricating, repairing, and restoring motorcycles and machines that was genuinely genius. The Lake Erie Race Team were always in a dept of gratitude for his help and support. But most importantly, we were all good friends for many years long before the racing program. Our thoughts go out to his loving Mother and Father who have always been kind and brave through this traumatic experience. Lake Erie Racing kicked of the year in Gainsville, Florida for the Florida Bike Week Nations. The weather did not cooperate and we spent the first 2 days standing in the rain waiting for a chance to get down the track.

The rain finally stopped on Satuday briefly but only long enough to allow some ET classes to get down the track. When the qualifying races were called it was decided that teams would be placed at last years national point standing for elimination. Chris was looking quite sporty in his new leathers matching our pit uniforms and continuing the color scheme for the bike and truck. When we finally had our chance to go down the track we spun the tire and had a disappointing 8.701 second loss to Russ Hildenbrand's 7.861. It was a lot of time and trouble for one time down the track. On the good side, our bike is in good shape and we are ready for our next race in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Lake Erie Racing Team has been proud to go to the races in our customized Peterbuilt truck. There is a good amount of shop area and living quarters. Unlike our old school bus, this baby is made for going down the road hauling a load. We miss the old school bus but the travel time and expence have been greatly reduced.
