American Ironhorse Lonestar NationalsDallas, Texas June 21st and 22nd, 2003 |

It was hot and humid in the Texas sun but we managed to keep our cool at the race track. The bike had some problems in the heat but Chris kept going down the track for another Runner-Up finish. |
The trip out west was turning out to be a tough go-around for the FBM Racing Team.
We were going rounds and winning races, but we were still struggling with some problems.
After the win in Denver we were ready for the heat of Texas, but the belt breakage problems continued to plague us.
It is tough to tune when you are breaking parts because you can’t get a clean pass to see what is happening with the tune-up.

Special thanks this race goes to Andrew and Steve Kowalski and everyone at Kowalski Heat Treating Co.
Kowalski’s state-of-the-art heat treating and cryogenic processes have been critical to the success of FBM Racing, and to
the survival of a lot of the parts on the bike. Their treatments have helped us keep breakage down, which saves money and
more importantly lets Chris make it to the finish line first round after round. Everyone at Kowalski has been helpful,
friendly and professional over the years that they have been sponsors, and it is not only a help to be sponsored by Kowalski,
but a pleasure doing business with them.

We would also like to give a BIG Thank You to Merryl Redding as well as Dawn, Randy and the entire Grantom Family for coming out in support and setting us up with air conditioning and a wonderful meal on Saturday night. We are lucky to have friends and family who are so generous and just plain good people. |
