Phoenix race gets off to shaky start as motor problems haunt team.
FBM still pulls Off #1 qualifier in last chance race.

   FBM Racing promised our sponsors we were going to make the full AHDRA schedule this year in pursuit of the championship, and we made our first down-payment on the west coast races last weekend. We loaded up the bus and headed out to Phoenix. It was a long drive, and a long, hard weekend of work, but the trip paid off as Chris Streeter took Number One Qualifier then Runner Up at Firebird International Raceway. In the process, Chris was interviewed for FBM Racing’s first national television appearance, to air May 2 at 6:30 PM Eastern Time on ESPN2’s "Inside Drag Racing"

   Special thanks this race goes to Chip Redding of Redding Web Design. Over the winter, Chip expanded and improved the FBM web site, to give the team and our sponsors a more attractive, more professional, more widely-viewed presence on the web. Above and beyond the web site design, Chip provided hands-on help over the winter with re-wiring the race trailer and many other jobs. Finally, when motor problems forced FBM Racing to change our travel plans in Phoenix, Chip stepped up and helped drive on the return trip. As a long-time friend, Chip has helped the team out for many years. Now, we welcome and thank Redding Web Design as an official sponsor.

   Our next race is another long drive, this time out to Las Vegas for May 3rd and 4th, and we will be there with two fresh motors. Las Vegas is another good track, and there is always a strong showing among the spectators. This will be the first of two Las Vegas races this year, and we hope to see some of our West Coast sponsors and fans out there.
