Rockingham Nationals At the 'Rock' in Rockingham, North Carolina October 15th and 16th, 2005

The FBM Racing Team went to compete at 'The Rock' with high hopes for wrapping up the National Championship points race. Our hopes were dashed however when we were defeated in the semi-finals by Mike Lehman. Mike closed the points gap between us leaving the final outcome to be determined in Las Vegas. We did manage to lock up the Easter Division Championship giving us reason to celebrate.    Once again this year we got to see our friends Stew and Chuck who came out to watch us race. We cleared an extra bunk in the old school bus so Stew would have a place crash with us. Thanks go out to Stew for getting some of his brothers to come over and setting us up with a great meal on Saturday night.    Once again we worked late into the night on Saturday having to rebuild the motor. We have had to swap out a cylinder and piston for the past three races. Each time Chris spins the tire and he continues hard down the track, we damage our motor. The hard work pays off when come out strong the next day and compete our way through elimination rounds. Fortunately for us, Mike Lehman was beaten by Jay Turner giving us a minuscule point lead going to the last race in Vegas.
